Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
